So here's what we think...

Okay, so I’d never be able to do a juice cleanse – I love food way too much to give it up, even for a short period of time. But that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate an organic, cold-pressed juice (as an addition to my meal of course!). One of my favorite juiceries is Salud Juice…

My boyfriend used to work at a juice bar, and, although it wasn’t his favorite job, it worked out great for me because I got to try a bunch of different juices all the time! But I’ve never had juice blends quite as unique as the juices I tried from Salud Juice. Not only are they packed with lots of vitamins and nutrients, but they are also gluten free! Located in Long Beach, Salud really prides itself on being local. All of their ingredients are from farmers markets nearby and they only use seasonal fruits so their flavors change seasonally. I’ve tried three of their delicious, organic juices and they were all so yummy. I really liked their “Perfect Pear” flavor made with asian pear, strawberry, and lemon! I also tried their “Soylent Green” which is a pretty classic green juice. However, my favorite flavor, was the citrus & carrot juice called “Indian Summer.” Fruity and healthy, it really is the perfect summer drink. Salud’s drinks are raw, which means they are alive and fresh pressed, with no preservatives, so they only have a shelf life of about 3 days. You can really taste the freshness in the juices! They are also all cold-pressed and organic. If you really like a flavor you can order a half-gallon or gallon of it, and they also ship their juices nationwide. The next time I’m sick I definitely want to try their “Spicy Roll” juice – with Echinacea, ginger, turmeric, and cayenne it sounds like the perfect drink to kill any germs!

As Salud’s motto says, “Cheers to drinking local!” And cheers, to you Salud, for making it possible!
