Getting STRONGER 💪🏻 but actually…

I’ve said a bunch how I was scared to start lifting weights. Well when I did I seriously EASED into it. Using 5 lbs until I was comfortable with the moves, and then upping to 10 lbs. I’ve been using 10lbs for about a year now! Wellllll….

Fun fact: ben’s female clients are lifting 30-40 lbs and they all look truly amazing. Heavier weights x protein = the lean, toned look I’m aspiring to have! Sooo recently I upped my weights to 15-20! And I’m feeling SO strong. Never mind the physical, it’s so emotionally empowering.

Heavy weights do NOT make you bulky. It does exactly the opposite. And I’m proud of myself for overcoming this emotional mental block!!

Ben’s been BUSY recently, so I’ve been working out by myself in the gym using his app. I surprised him one day when he came home and I was lifting heavy with ease 😅 and I made this video to show you how simple and effective the app is!! Anywho, you can get Ben’s programs now for the lowest price it’ll EVER be!! I’m excited for you guys to try!!

I was asked in a Q&A recently, ‘what has been the most notable change to your life since starting weight training with ben?” the physical benefits have been fun, but the most notable change has been my total FOOD FREEDOM. I eat 3x as much as I used to (I talk a lot about protein, but this is also in DESSERT), and not only did the weights not make me bulky... the weights and food combo made me leaner!?!

I’ve always preached listening to your body. Weight training made me hungrier, protein made me fuller, and vice versa. More food, more energy for working out. I’ve watched my body tone in ways I didn’t know it could and have gained a confidence I didn’t know I could have.

I’m writing this post now in honor of the old me, who especially on holidays like Thanksgiving, definitely felt food GUILT. and because ben’s programs are on a massive sale for black friday. I was VERY scared to start training, but his approach makes weights SO not scary. and honestly how strong I now feel is FUN. we have lots of fun things in the works with his app, but my ask to you all is to give it a TRY!! also the price of the 6-week program rn costs like WAY less than one in-person training session with him, so its kinda a steal.

Why I Walk 10K steps a day!!!

After working on Wall Street and sitting at a desk 10-12 hours a day, one thing I will NEVER take for granted is the flexibility I now have to walk and MOVE my body during the day.

Why do I walk?? Walking improves bone and brain health, helps reduce chronic conditions, and aids in healthy aging. I love all of the physical benefits, but the mental health benefits of walking, for me, are MAGICAL. It’s how I reduce stress, when I have my best and most clear thoughts; walking is my meditation.

I totally acknowledge the flexibility of my day gives me more time to get all these steps!! And that’s not possible for everyone!! 10K is just a number I aim for. Some days I walk 20K and other days I walk 5K. The key is MOVING your body when possible!!

And yes I now own a walking pad. Because I live on a hill and it gets dark at noon, (basically 😉 ) … ill do anything for my 10K ! Why not walk while I work?? Xx #nobread

The Top 4 Things I did to balance my hormones!! As I’m sure many of you remember, I’ve dealt with my fair share of hormone imbalance. About a year ago I made a video specifically about my testosterone dominance, but now that I’m all balanced out, I want to talk about the key things I do to keep ALL hormones balanced. I just got my most recent labs back and I am BEYOND thrilled with where I’m at, and these are the methods to thank.

Just a plate of bacon to start my day 🥓😍

Shifting to a protein-focused diet and lifestyle has completely transformed my health. I always ate “well” and “clean,” but I was doing it all wrong! For years I continued to be ‘bloated’ and I was always dealing with a random something.

I knew I needed to kick up the protein, and kick up the meat. I mean, one quick google search will tell you all the benefits ie muscle health (important for the present and our FUTURE), important nutrients like iron and zinc, essential fatty acids, feeling fuller longer- the list goes on. Between protein and weights (thanks hubby), I can confidently say I eat more, but feel leaner and stronger than ever?!

I post this because I feel like there are many people in my community that may still be a little spooked to jump on the meat and weights train, but please let me be living proof! Xx #nobread #protein #weighttraining #glutenfree
