With so many meal delivery services out there these days, it can be tough to stand out! Introducing Green Chef, a service that truly stands out from the rest! In the past, I’ve been apprehensive to order from meal delivery services. Why? Well I’m a nut when it comes to the type of food I purchase. I love meat, but I will only eat quality meat that I trust is antibiotic and hormone free, etc. Same when it comes to my veggies and starches! Green Chef ​organic​ ​ingredients​ ​have​ ​no​ ​GMOs, synthetic​ ​pesticides,​ ​antibiotics,​ ​growth​ ​hormones,​ ​or​ ​steroids.​ ​They offer ​an adventurous​ ​cooking​ ​experience that is high quality and SAFE.

So how does it work? Green Chef has a wide variety of meal plans to suit your lifestyle: paleo, vegan, gluten-free, omnivore, carnivore, or vegetarian. Select one, and Green Chef delivers organic ingredients and easy recipes to cook delicious dinners in about 30 minutes. Each box includes new recipes from the meal plan of your choice.

I had the opportunity to try the service this week, and I was so impressed! Each ingredient is delivered in an individual, labeled package, and the recipe cards are clear. I, of course, selected the gluten-free meal plan option, and the three meals I made were an Apricot Glazed Salmon with Black rice, cardamom yogurt & roasted veggies, Stuffed Portobello with Broccoli filling, carrots, salad, Grand Cru cheese, and Lemon-Herb Chicken with Greek-style potatoes, artichokes & capers, and arugula. All were so delicious!

What I love most about the service is the ability to cook the food yourself. This way, you can cook your meal exactly as the recipe card tells you, or use your own creativity to customize the ingredients at hand! I highly recommend Green Chef, and can’t wait to continue enjoying their (gluten-free) meals!
